By July 9, the foundation was formed for the 2-car garage, which will be a definite improvement over the old 1-car garage! Also the foundation forms for dining room and master bath addition were completed.

Nabor and crew dug out trenches for the hot water return line, sewer, electrical conduit and other plumbing. These busy workers remind me of ants, scurrying around and working very hard.

Digging more lines

During the 3rd week, he plumbing crew arrived to start putting all new pipes in. Here they are working on the replacement sewer line.

This is the "strong wall" for the garage...it provides a lot of reinforcement to hold the house up in case of earthquakes, etc.

These pipes are in the master bathroom. You can also see the wire 'mesh' that reinforces the concrete in the foundation, which was poured the day after this picture was taken.

Subcontractor Juan Delgado is doing a SUPERB job with the concrete. Here is smoothing the foundation for the master bathroom.
